COVID-19 testing is now complete at Matchroom.Live Championship League and Matchroom Multi Sport can confirm that all 116 tests returned negative results.
All players, officials and staff were throat and nasal swab tested on arrival at the event, and players who won their groups returned for re-testing 24 hours before their Group Winners phase matches.
All those tested remained in isolation until the results were confirmed the following day. Strict rules on social distancing and hygiene remain in place, in line with government guidelines.
Matchroom.Live Championship League continues with the second day of Group Winners’ matches on Wednesday. Stuart Bingham and Ben Woollaston have already qualified for Thursday’s Final Group. Judd Trump, Dave Gilbert, Ryan Day and Barry Hawkins contest Group B on table one today, while Gary Wilson, Luca Brecel, Mark Joyce and Ashley Carty will battle it out in Group A on table two.
